Global Head of Rewards
The Role:
As part of a strategic initiative to de-localise, globalise, and standardise the Rewards function, we are seeking to appoint a Global Head of Rewards. This role follows a significant organisational transition, including a recent sale and integration with a larger entity. The new focus is on driving consistency across Rewards programs, building a performance-based recognition culture, and aligning policies across all reward functions. This includes developing frameworks for Executive Remuneration, Short-Term and Long-Term Incentive (STI & LTI) programs, International Mobility, Retention and Recognition, and Data Analytics. The successful candidate will ensure that the organisation’s needs are met while adhering to new corporate protocols where appropriate.
The Opportunity:
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced, fast-paced leader in the Rewards field to shape and globalise the Rewards function during a transformative period. This role will allow you to leave a lasting impact on the company’s rewards structure, particularly in aligning legacy policies with new global standards while balancing the strategic needs of the organisation. It is ideal for someone with experience in a listed company, whether as the leader ready to establish foundations in a smaller environment or as a second-in-command seeking end-to-end ownership. You will have direct involvement in both operational and strategic areas, navigating the creation and adaptation of policies in alignment with the company’s goals and broader corporate frameworks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive Rewards frameworks across Executive Remuneration, STI & LTI programs, International Mobility, Retention, and Recognition.
- Align the company’s Rewards programs with strategic objectives while ensuring consistency across all regions.
- Drive the cultural shift towards a performance-based recognition model, ensuring policies meet both organisational needs and broader industry best practices.
- Collaborate closely with senior management, board committees, and key stakeholders to ensure Rewards strategies align with organisational goals.
- Provide strategic oversight while managing the daily operational needs of the Rewards function.
- Lead the development and analysis of Data Analytics related to Rewards programs to measure success and drive informed decision-making.
Key Requirements:
- Extensive expertise in Performance, Rewards, Reporting, and Analytics.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing comprehensive rewards frameworks and systems.
- Experience in leading a Rewards team and adapting policies within a listed company environment, with exposure to Board-level stakeholders.
- Strong stakeholder management experience, working closely with senior management, Board committees, and other key stakeholders.
- International experience, with a deep understanding of cultural nuances and decision-making processes across diverse regions.
- Ability to manage and adapt policies for a diverse employee population, from operational staff to senior leadership, ideally within a commodity or similar industry.
- A proactive, results-oriented leader with the ability to navigate both operational and strategic challenges, while driving immediate impact and long-term transformation.
