Are you a seasoned Internal Audit professional seeking a challenging and rewarding opportunity? Our client, a leading energy provider at the forefront of pioneering research and development in the journey toward a net-zero energy system, is seeking an Internal Audit Manager to join their dynamic team.
This role offers the chance to make a real impact by leading a wide range of operational and compliance audits and special projects, ensuring they are executed to the highest standards and within agreed timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute audits to effectively evaluate risks and controls, recommending improvements where necessary.
- Develop audit scope documentation, design Risk and Control Matrices, and establish testing procedures in line with IA Manual and IIA standards.
- Conduct internal audit testing, documenting findings clearly for presentation to stakeholders and providing regular status updates.
- Prepare and review workpapers to ensure audit procedures and documentation meet company and IIA standards.
- Collaborate with audit team members and outsourced partners to achieve engagement objectives.
Essential Skills and Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of internal audit experience within a practice or in-house function.
- Experience in Oil&Gas, Engineering, Construction, Manufacturing is highly desirable.
- Professional accounting or internal auditing qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIA) is essential.
- Comprehensive knowledge of internal audit best practices, risk and internal controls, and proven ability to plan and execute audit programs with minimal supervision.
- Strong process design and analysis skills, with the ability to analyse complex processes, identify control deficiencies, and recommend improvements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
- Proficiency in IIA standards and best practices.
